Baker Siu MSc, MA, RPT, CST-M earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with first honour from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2002. The course eqiupped Baker with a compenhensive knowledge in therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy and basic manual therapy.
Baker started his physiotherapy career in a orthopedic surgeon clinic where he have exposed to a great variety of orthopedic cases. After serveral months of work there, Baker knew an amercian physiotherapist named Kerry D’Ambrogio was going to open a craniosacral course for beginners, he took that chance and studied from Kerry. After practising it in work, more and more interest was built inside Baker’s heart, and he wanted to learn more advanced skills of craniosacral therapy. Jim Green BS, LMT, CST-D from Acorn Seminars became his teacher since then in 2003.
After finished CST 3 class in 2005, Baker left the orthodepic clinic and opened his own clinic “Baker & Partners Physiotherapy Centre” in Yau Ma Tei. By that time, he also became the CST class sponsor of Acorn Seminars Inc. in Hong Kong, and also teaching assistant for CST 1 & 2 classes. Baker sucessfully gained the CST Apprentice Level Certification in 2006. He renamed his clinic to “Baker Siu Physiotherapy Centre” in 2007, and finished CST 4 class in the same year. Also Baker was admitted into the Master degree programme of Acupuncture in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Not only acupuncture and moxibustion theory and techniques were taught in the context of traditional Chinese medicine, good practical and clinical training was also provided in the programme.
In 2008 Baker pursued his study and finished last two levels of CST classes, gained the CST Journeyman Level Certification and became teaching assistant of CST 3 & 4 classes. After studying hard for two years, he was awarded the Master degree of Acupuncture in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Then Baker got his final CST Master Level Certification in 2011. He has finished the Master degree programme in Psychology in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015, he hope helping more people by applying the psychological knowledge.
Since 2005, Baker keeps his treatment session in 1 on 1 basis, only one client will be treated at one time. He believes this can bring him good focus on his treatment which will bring better quality therapy to the client and hence better result. He has served client aged between 3 days and 90+ years old. His CST practical experiences has exceeded 18 years, accumulated more than 25000 hours. The case he has done ranged from common orthopedic injury to generalised whole body pain, headache, insomia, nervous tension, stress, psychoemotional problem such as panic attack, depression, bipolar disorder etc, systemic problem such as rhumatoid arthritis, eczema, spondylitis ankylosis etc, after-effects of stroke, cancer etc. Common pediatric problems he treated are autism, learning and language disability, attention deficit, epilepsy, developmental delay, behavior and emotional problems etc.
Baker is the author of the book <<髗骶骨治療 完全學習手冊 - 基礎篇>>, <<髗骶骨治療 完全學習手冊 - 身心同釋篇>>, <<髗骶骨治療是甚麼?>>and started his CST teaching career in 2017.
